MOTHER ROCKER
DRUMFOUNDED completed “Mother Rocker,” in 2010 (their final release). Dave C. was getting progressively ill (multiple diabetic comas) and the recording sessions had decreased significantly. It was all I could do to talk Dave into coming over one last time to record his final vocal parts. The highlight of this album was the title track (Mother Rocker). Dave walked in with his trademark leather jacket, I pushed record on a previously recorded instrumental track … and he went off in typical Dave fashion. Ad libbed “lyrics” and one of the longest, un-edited rock-n-roll screams I’ve ever heard ensued.
